Almost every time I monitor the One O'clock news, as soon as the BBC cuts to
their man in Haifa, the air raid sirens always seem to be going off.
Surely the Israelis wouldn't be creating "air raid" alerts on the hour in
order to be picked up live by US and UK news reports. ;-)

The media are tiring of this - in typical ME fashion its going nowhere,
R1 had a fight involving British blokes fighting in greece or some
holiday destination as the main story yesterday on one of the
bulletins.
Of course its silly season now for the news - parliment are on holiday
till November so its any old story to be going on with. Endless
pictures of the ME fighting doesn't make "uumph"" in the news so I
suppose they will have to find something to concentrate on. I don't
want to be cynical but I and when it concerns newsgathering.

I've been avoiding the news since this yawn inducing soap opera started
the other week as its hard to be interested in something that doesnt
affect you .
A hypothecical question , If they took each other out (once and for all)
and there was nobody left on either side to fight - would that be a bad
thing ? .

On Sky a few days ago something landed pretty close to the reporter
live on air, for quite a while all you saw was a view of the city and
someone talking from the studio.
