New Bullseye - You're money's NOT safe

Ed...
How come 'your moneys not safe' any more on Bullseye?

Alan Gauton...
Don't know about this.

In the old days if you'd won and had the chance to go for the star
prize you only gambled the prizes, and Jim Bowen would delight in
saying 'The money you won in round 1 - that's safe, so is the money
that Eric won for your charidee, but it's your prizes that you can
gamble for 101 or more'.

Now you have to gamble your prizes AND your money to go for the star
prize. That's hardly fair - if the winners decide to cut and run then
the people coming second dont have prizes to gamble with so they'd only
lose their money.

SGM...
I think that's how it was done originally, and then it was changed in later
years. Isn't that where the whole "bus fare home" thing came from, because
they lost everything?

Now Spikey will say 'If you lose you've had a great day out but youre
going home with nowt'

And what happened to the star prize 'hiding behind bully'. Now it's
behind the 'dat' board doors. I dont think anyone's going to win the
star prize either, seeing as they havent actually searched for proper
darters, just walked down Wandsworth high street and anyone who couldnt
get out the way fast enough got chosen.

Alan Gauton...
Not true - a couple of blokes won a Fiat Punto last week. How they share
a car between them, I don't know, but it can be done. Non dart player
got 64 or something on his own. Real dart player almost blew it though.
