shaft problems

blackbat...
Generally speaking, if someone used a more flexible shaft than suited
them is it likely to result in a shot to the right because the club
face doesn't catch up with the hands or a shot to the left because the
clubface leads the hands at impact?

David Geesaman...
It still depends on the golfer. I find that soft shafts result in more
high right slices, but that may be because the stiffer shaft will have
lower torque and that helps a handsy swinger get the club square.

Carbon...
I've had the same experience and I don't think I'm particularly handsy. I
had a driver that I pretty well most of the time but I couldn't step on
it. The extra energy just burned up in higher ballflight and more slice.
It just felt like the clubhead never caught up.

Current driver has a much stiffer shaft and I often hit the same little
draw I hit with my irons. Contrary to the conventional wisdom but there it
is.

The better the swing, the less it matters. This is the one generality.

Carbon...
I believe that. If I had a better swing I wouldn't have had so much
trouble with that old driver.

Martin Levac...
More specifically, the stiffest shaft you can handle. You may not enjoy
striking the ball badly with a very stiff shaft, it's painful.

Otto...
Is this true for Lefties?
