Graley...
Is there a way to move iTunes songs from a Mac to a PC which has latest
iTunes app for Windows XP ?

I have tried using flash drives but all I get is a not exportable
error. Also tried ethernet cable to no avail.

I do this (with a flash drive) all the time.

On the Mac, I drill down in my iTunes music folder (usually under
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music) to find the song or songs I want. I copy
them to the flash drive. If you can't find the songs on the disk,
Command-I on the song in question in iTunes will give the full path to
it.

On the PC I drag the song or folder with songs into the open iTunes
window to Library:Music on the left side. It may take a minute or two
for iTunes to finish copying the songs.

I guess I could burn a CD, but would rather avoid that if possible.

Look at using QTFairuse and removing the DRM completely...

Joe Bento...
Simply backup your iTunes music to CD or DVD and restore the backup on the
PC. The PC will then become one of your five authorized machines.

I just did the reverse, moving my PC iTunes music to a Mac. I had 6 DVD
backups of music to restore.

What happens when you just try to use Finder to copy the files from
where they are on the Mac to the flash drive?

Graley...
The tracks copy to the flash OK. And I can see the file on the PC
desktop. But that is as far as it will go.

Please describe, in detail, step by step, what you are doing.

You copy your files to a Flash drive. You remove your Flash drive from
your Mac and plug it in to your PC. You see the files on the Flash
drive. Then what are you doing?

Graley...
I then drag the music file into the iTunes pane on the PC. It does not
go. I tried imoprting. No go either.

Gregory Weston...
Any error message or anything? (You shouldn't be getting an error about
"exporting" when trying to read the files on the new machine.)
