It's not 30,000km around Australia.
Must be taking the scenic route.

DeF...
According to Mr Fractal Man, you can make it any
distance you like (as long it's over a certain
minimum whose name I can't recall).

ANTHONY Mann is realising his life-held dream of riding 30,000 km
around Australia on his push-bike.
Video: Anthony Mann talks about his epic journey

Mr Mann rode out of Brisbane this morning on a trip that will see him
ride up the north Queensland coast, across Cape York to the Northern
Territory, and then to Perth before heading north again to Central
Australia.

The Tasmanian began his adventure in February and says he doesn't
expect to be back in Hobart until September 2007.

He said he was eating enormous quantities of food to sustain himself:
breakfast alone consisted of 8 to 10 Weatbix, and he ate large
quatities of jelly beans to maintain his energy.

TimC...
Pfftt. I eat 5, and that's only for the commute to work.

I got some unca toby's porridge oats, and worked according to their
reccomendations. 1/3 cup oats? Dude, that's about a half a weetbix
in energy content and mass! Needless to say, it was
somewhat... small.

OK, so lets try their "serves 3" recommendation, naturally, a cup of
oats. Yep, that's getting a little better.

Then the packets of ravioli, "serves 3". My arse, I was hungry after
eating the whole lot, with garlic bread and some salad.

At least country pubs still know how to serve food. I thank the woman
in the Mirboo North pub who said "yeah, the lasagne may be on the
entree part of the menu, but it's probably big enough for you.
There's salad over there if you need it". That was a grand lasagne,
indeedy doody.

Is the statement probably 'big enough for you' code for you just bought
a light beer and your a skinny little thing anyway?

TimC...
Oi!

I made sure to let her know beforehand that I have hollow legs. I
have noted before that I can outeat (pasta, anyway) some of the really
*large* guys in the Linux community.

light beer receipt

TimC...
Heh. That's not very PC!

PiledHigher...
Maybe a competitive direction change is in order...

Mr Mann left Brisbane for the Glasshouse Mountains early today.
